Random thought of the day

Owen has been little for soooo long.

Everyone at playgroup was talking about how fast their kids grow up.
One kid is walking at 8 months old (way too early!)
I know where those parents are coming from, but
I sat there thinking about complaining
HOW BLOODY LONG IT'S TAKING FOR MY KID TO GROW UP
I didnt make that statement,
I thought it would be met with crickets....chirp, chirp chirp........
Or worse
someone saying "oh but you get to enjoy each stage",
blahh gag.

  1. love the new background! spring break is almost here at our house! but we have snow :(

I so agree with the enjoying the stage! I think screw that! It would be great if you said it just to see the uncomfortable reaction...it can be fun! and great blogging material! 8 mo is ridiculous...I am still amazed at how fast and effortless kiddos pick up things with having seen Maddie struggle so much...I think that is what sucks the most! smiles

  2. Ya I hate the "enjoying each stage" thing... I don't need to enjoy an entire 10 months of Russell only being able to crawl...People just don't get it. And if they think that makes us feel any better they couldn't be more wrong!!
I have been struggling lately with watching my sisters baby catch up to Russell in development...He is nine months old. *sigh*...Its kind of starting to hurt. At almost two and a half Russell still seems so much like a baby...Today my heart hurts a little I guess.

  4. We met with my cousin last week who has a little one a year younger then Lucas. I didn't realize how far behind he was until then. I held the little guy's hand down the stairs as he did it with ease and I realized how hard it really is for Luc. My cousin just kept saying "oh he's really ahead for most kids his age." but I know she was just trying to be nice. It's only going to become more obvious when Luc starts school. I'll just have to keep saying in my head, "don't cry, don't cry" when he starts school.
